My IV Doctors privacy policy
A plain-English guide to the personal information this website and our telehealth service handle, why we need it and the control you keep over it.
Who this policy covers
This policy applies to myivdoctors.com and the telehealth service run by My IV Doctors (“we,” “our” or “us”). Our platform links patients with independent, licensed clinicians and pharmacies; it is not itself a medical practice. Health details you give a treating clinician are protected health information, and where HIPAA applies, our Notice of Privacy Practices governs them alongside this policy.
The short version
- We collect what we need to run visits, fill prescriptions, take payment and keep the site working.
- Your information is never sold, and that includes your health information.
- You can see, correct, export or delete your data, subject to medical-record laws.
- Write to team@myivdoctors.com about anything in this policy.
What we collect, and where it comes from
Details you give us
When you create an account, book or take part in a visit, we may ask for your name, birth date, email, phone, address, demographic details, a photo ID, billing details and anything you share to support an evaluation.
Health information
This covers intake questionnaire answers, messages with clinicians on the platform, prescriptions and any lab results you allow us to receive.
Information collected automatically
Cookies and similar tools record technical details such as your IP address, device and browser type, the pages you open, the links you follow and when you visit.
Information from partners
Payment processors confirm transactions, identity services return verification results and integrations you authorize may send data to us.
Why we use your information
- To match you with a suitable licensed clinician and handle what you ask for
- To send prescriptions to licensed pharmacies when a clinician approves treatment
- To take payments and stop fraud
- To contact you about visits, orders, your account and service changes
- To send marketing where the law allows, which you can switch off at any time
- To study how the service is used, fix problems and build new features
- To meet legal duties and enforce our Terms of Use
Cookies
Some cookies are essential for the site to work. Others remember your settings, show us how visitors use the site or tell us whether our advertising works. Your browser lets you block or delete cookies, though parts of the site may stop working properly if you do. Where the law requires it, we ask before setting cookies that are not essential.
Who receives your information
- The independent clinicians and pharmacies involved in the care you ask for
- Vendors that host the site, process payments, run analytics or support our help desk, all bound by confidentiality terms in their contracts
- Anyone you ask us to share it with, or agree that we may
- Courts, regulators or police when the law requires it, or to protect people, rights or property
- A buyer or successor if the business is merged, acquired or sold, under customary confidentiality terms
We do not sell personal or health information. We also do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising as California law defines that term.
How we keep it safe
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is limited to people who need it, systems are monitored and staff are trained in privacy and security. These administrative, technical and physical measures lower the risk of unauthorized access, change, disclosure or loss, but no online system can be guaranteed secure. Please keep your login details private.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information while we need it to provide the service, meet legal and regulatory duties, settle disputes and enforce our agreements. Medical records follow state record-keeping laws, which usually require six to ten years and sometimes longer.
Your choices and rights
Depending on your state, you can ask us to:
- Show you the personal information we hold
- Fix information that is wrong
- Delete your information, unless the law requires us to keep it
- Send you a copy in a portable format
- Limit or stop certain uses of it
- Stop targeted advertising and any “sale” or “sharing” of your information as state law defines those terms
- Withdraw consent you gave earlier
Residents of California (CCPA and CPRA), Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah and other states with broad privacy laws can also ask what we collect, and an authorized agent may make a request for you with proper proof. Send requests to team@myivdoctors.com. We confirm your identity, reply within the time the law allows and never treat you differently for using these rights.
Children and teens
The service is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you think a child under 13 has sent us information, tell us and we will delete it. Teens aged 13 to 17 may use a service only where it is offered to minors and a parent or guardian has given verifiable consent.
Using the site from outside the United States
My IV Doctors operates in and for the United States. If you visit from another country, your information is processed in the U.S., where data protection laws may differ from yours.
Updates to this policy
When this policy changes, we post the new version here and change the date at the top. Significant changes are highlighted on this page, so check back from time to time.
