FDA-approved semaglutide, prescribed online
Wegovy is Novo Nordisk's brand of semaglutide approved for chronic weight management. Your clinician checks whether it fits, helps you choose the right format and guides each dose step.
Free to book. You pay only if you go ahead with treatment.
Wegovy is Novo Nordisk's FDA-approved semaglutide for chronic weight management, and it's also approved to lower heart risk in adults with heart disease.
Your clinician helps you choose between the weekly pen and the daily tablet, and discusses Wegovy HD if you've tolerated 2.4 mg and need more.
You get a dose-escalation schedule for your format, with follow-up visits at each step up so side effects can be managed along the way.
Your first consultation is free, plans start from $199/mo and your clinician offers guidance on insurance or self-pay options before you commit.
Choose phone or video and fill in a brief health history.
A licensed U.S. clinician spends 5–10 minutes on your history, medicines and goals and decides whether Wegovy is appropriate.
If prescribed, you begin with the lowest weekly injection dose or the starter tablet, filled by a licensed U.S. pharmacy.
Every four weeks for the injection, or every 30 days for the tablet, your clinician decides whether to step up, hold or adjust.
Once you reach a dose that works, follow-up focuses on maintaining results and managing any side effects.
Generally a BMI of 30 or more, used alongside a reduced-calorie diet and more physical activity.
A BMI of 27 or more with a condition such as high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes or high cholesterol.
Wegovy is approved to lower the risk of major cardiovascular events in this group.
The injection is approved for this age group. Adolescent care needs a parent or guardian involved and may be better handled by a pediatric specialist.
Anyone with medullary thyroid cancer (yours or a family member's) or MEN 2, a past serious reaction to semaglutide or a current or planned pregnancy.

Wegovy contains semaglutide, a GLP-1 receptor agonist that lowers appetite and slows how fast your stomach empties. What makes it different from other semaglutide products is its FDA approval: Wegovy was studied and approved specifically for people living with obesity or overweight, rather than for diabetes.
Its approved uses have grown over time. Beyond long-term weight reduction, Wegovy is approved to lower the risk of heart attack, stroke and cardiovascular death in adults with heart disease and excess weight, and in August 2025 the injection gained accelerated approval for adults with a liver condition called MASH with moderate to advanced scarring.
Wegovy now comes as a weekly injection, a daily tablet and a higher-dose weekly injection called Wegovy HD. Your clinician helps you choose between them. As a brand medication, Wegovy may cost more than the program price; your clinician confirms the total before you commit.

Each version contains semaglutide, but the schedule, top dose and approved uses differ slightly.
In the large SELECT trial of more than 17,600 adults with heart disease and excess weight, major cardiovascular events such as heart attack and stroke occurred in 6.5% of people taking Wegovy compared with 8% taking placebo. That result led the FDA to add heart-risk reduction to Wegovy's label in March 2024.
The MASH approval is based on liver biopsy results and was granted under accelerated approval, which means a longer trial is still under way to confirm the benefit. If you have been told you have fatty liver disease, mention it during your visit.
Wegovy has a boxed warning for thyroid C-cell tumors, seen in rodent studies. Your clinician reviews the following before prescribing and at each step up.

Book a free consultationWegovy is approved for long-term weight reduction in adults with obesity or with overweight and a related condition, and in teens 12 and older with obesity. It is also approved to lower the risk of heart attack, stroke and cardiovascular death in adults with heart disease and excess weight. The injection has accelerated approval for a type of fatty liver disease called MASH.
Both. There is a once-weekly injection and, since December 2025, a once-daily tablet. A higher-dose injection called Wegovy HD is also available for some adults already on the standard dose.
With the weekly injection, the label steps up every four weeks and reaches 2.4 mg at week 17. The tablet reaches its 25 mg maintenance dose from about day 91. Your clinician may slow things down if side effects are a problem.
Wegovy is an FDA-approved, factory-made brand product. Compounded semaglutide is prepared for an individual patient by a licensed compounding pharmacy and is not FDA-approved. Your clinician can explain the trade-offs in cost and oversight.
Coverage varies widely by plan and by the reason it is prescribed. Some plans require prior authorization. You do not need insurance to use our service, and your clinician can talk through self-pay options.
Program pricing starts from $199/mo. Brand medication may cost extra depending on how it is filled, and your clinician confirms the full cost before anything is prescribed.
The injection is approved for teens 12 and older with obesity. Care for adolescents needs a parent or guardian, and your clinician may recommend in-person pediatric care instead.
Wegovy contains semaglutide, which acts on GLP-1 receptors. Zepbound contains tirzepatide, which acts on both GLP-1 and GIP receptors. Your clinician can compare them for your situation.
Stop Wegovy at least 2 months before trying to conceive, because semaglutide takes weeks to leave the body. If you become pregnant while taking it, stop and tell your clinician.
Signs include steadier appetite, smaller portions feeling satisfying and a gradual downward trend in weight once you reach higher doses. Your clinician reviews your progress at follow-ups and adjusts the plan if needed.
Yes, type 2 diabetes can be one of the weight-related conditions that qualifies you. If you also take insulin or a sulfonylurea, those doses may need lowering to avoid low blood sugar.
Wegovy is meant for long-term use, and weight often returns after stopping. Some people stay on it for years, while others eventually taper. Your clinician helps you decide what is realistic.
Book a free 5–10 minute phone or video visit. If a licensed clinician decides Wegovy fits your health, plans start from $199/mo with guidance through every dose step.
