New Hampshire service dog laws
New Hampshire's service animal law is RSA chapter 167-D. It lets service animals accompany handlers and trainers into public facilities, businesses and housing, and RSA 167-D:6 gives trainers the same access as handlers while they are training. The chapter also outlaws faking a service animal, and any violation is a misdemeanor under RSA 167-D:10.
- RSA 167-D:4 names housing accommodations alongside public facilities and businesses as places a service animal may accompany its handler or trainer.
- Under RSA 167-D:8, putting a service-animal vest, harness or sign on an animal that is not a service animal is unlawful.
- Falsely claiming a disability or trainer status to get service dog accommodations or a service animal tag is also prohibited.
- RSA 167-D:10 makes any violation of the chapter a misdemeanor, with harsher penalties for injuring a working service animal.
